An ambulance from Gillespie and Benld transporting a patient in an emergency collided with a vehicle at 6th and Jefferson streets in downtown Springfield on Wednesday afternoon.
The Gillespie-Benld Area Ambulance Service reported the two crew members were treated at a nearby hospital for minor injuries. Another Gillespie-Benld ambulance already in Springfield completed the patient transport.
