The Wisconsin State Patrol have given more details on the hit and run crash that led to the death of New Berlin Police Chief Terry Nydegger.
According to reporting by WCIA the Wisconsin State Patrol states the accident occurred on Interstate 90 near Wisconsin Dells.
Nydegger’s eastbound pickup truck collided with an SUV traveling in the same direction.
The collision sent Nydegger’s pickup truck across the median into the westbound lanes, striking two semis. Nydegger sustained fatal injuries. One of the drivers of the semis sustained minor injuries.
The driver of the SUV fled the scene in another vehicle. The crash remains under investigation.
