Authorities searched an abandoned home in Nokomis late Tuesday Night into Wednesday after receiving a report of possible explosive devices inside the home.
The Nokomis Police Department, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois Secretary of State Police Bomb Squad and FBI investigated the report.
Authorities removed items resembling pipe bombs but after further inspection they were determined to be non-explosive. In fact, no explosive devices or explosive materials were found on the property.
