CWLP is responding to a break to a large transmission water main in downtown Springfield.
The break near 4th and Capitol Streets has caused water to flow onto roadways in several areas and reduced water pressure for some.
Businesses near the break are reporting that their power is out and the have no water .
Drivers should avoid or expect delays where some roads are temporarily closed.
Authorities on the scene say that the main itself has been turned off but it has to run out of water before the water flow will completely stop. CWLP crews are working to fix the main as quickly as possible.
