Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong Joins The Go-Gos During Their Coachella Set

Before headlining Coachella on Saturday (April 12), Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day surprised fans by performing with the Go-Go’s during their Friday afternoon set. Armstrong joined the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band on a spirited rendition of their 1984 hit, “Head Over Heels,” with the punk icon playing guitar and singing lead vocals on the tune. This unexpected collaboration was teased on Green Day’s Instagram earlier in the day, with Armstrong instructing fans “Go see the go gos .
