The City of Springfield’s City Water Light and Power announced on Friday morning that beginning this upcoming Monday, May 5, Converse Avenue is set to be closed between 11th Street and Carolina Avenue for CWLP’s new six-inch water main installation.
This project is expected to last several days and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather; traffic lanes will remain closed until the surface pavement repairs are completed.
Motorists are advised to take alternate routes to avoid delays and to drive slowly and cautiously around the work zone.
