Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport officials say the state budget signed last week by Governor JB Pritzker includes $4.5 million in capital project funding for the Springfield facility.
A release from the airport credits State Senator Doris Turner for her work to secure the funding.
The airport says upcoming work will include upgrades at StandardAero, the major overhaul and aircraft repair station at the airport, and funds for a pilot training program at Stellar Aviation.
