CWLP announced on Tuesday that beginning Wednesday, June 25, Monroe Street is set to be closed between Walnut Street and Lewis Street to accommodate City Water, Light and Power’s installation of a new 10-inch water main for Springfield High School’s building addition project.
They noted that the project is expected to take multiple days to complete, and in the event of inclement weather, work will be rescheduled. This road will reopen once road surface repairs are complete.
Motorists are encouraged to slow down and be aware of workers and equipment in the work zone.
