The Springfield Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a 19-year-old Springfield man.
Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon confirmed the death of 19-year-old Leslie Broomfield who was found unresponsive in a vehicle in the 2400 block of South 13th Street in Springfield on November 21st.
Broomfield was transported to Springfield Memorial Hospital by EMS where he was pronounced deceased at shortly after his arrival. Broomfield died from multiple gunshot wounds.
The death remains under investigation by the Sangamon County Coroner and the Springfield Police Department.
