A Springfield woman is facing multiple charges including DUI due to an accident this past Thursday.
30-year-old Magdalena Lucas hit a legally parked car in the area of South 1st Street and West Cornell Avenue.
She admitted to being the driver of the car and that she had 3 children in the car with her at the time.
Officers on the scene observed signs of impairment.
Lucas was cited for operating a vehicle while under the influence, driving without a valid license, operating an uninsured vehicle causing bodily harm, three counts of failing to properly secure a child under age 8 in a restraint system, and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
