The union representing tenure and tenure-track faculty at University of Illinois Springfield reports that the majority of its members have voted to approve a tentative contract.
UIS United Faculty reported Wednesday morning that the majority of union members voted to ratify the agreements over two days of balloting.
The agreements must still be formally approved by the university before taking effect.
The union said details of the contract will be released after the ratification is complete.
UIS instructors returned to classrooms after striking for 17 days before the agreements were reached on April 19.
