Springfield Memorial Hospital has received the highest honor for healthcare excellence from a national center.
The hospital received “Magnet With Distinction” recognition from the American Nurses Credentialing Center on Monday.
Springfield Memorial Hospital is among only 2 percent of hospitals nationwide to earn five consecutive Magnet designations.
Magnet status is awarded to hospitals meeting or exceeding more than 100 standards for nursing practice, patient outcomes and patient experience.
