A solar farm may be coming between Divernon and Pawnee.
Dallas-based company Leeward Renewable Energy held an open house where community members and representatives of the company met to talk about the solar farm’s location, construction, environmental impact and employment potential.
While the open house was just a first step the goal is to have the 1,100-acre solar project up and running by 2029.
