A 35-year-old Springfield man has been sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to charges from an investigation into dog fighting.
Salenzio Anderson entered a negotiated plea on Wednesday afternoon to aggravated cruelty to animals and violation of owner’s duties.
Springfield Police arrested Anderson in January after authorities removed 15 dogs from his home, many with injuries. Three partially burned dogs were found in a barrel.
