Prevention First is a Springfield-based nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing substance misuse and promoting healthier, safer communities across Illinois. Founded in 1980, the organization provides training, education, technical assistance, and public awareness campaigns that support schools, parents, community groups, and government agencies in helping young people make healthy choices. Through evidence-based prevention programs and community partnerships, Prevention First works to reduce substance misuse while improving the overall well-being of individuals and families.
You can join Prevention First for an elegant evening of entertainment, connection, and community impact at the annual Masquerade. This special event brings together prevention professionals, community leaders, advocates, partners, and supporters from across Illinois who are dedicated to creating healthier, stronger communities. Proceeds from the evening help support Prevention First’s efforts in substance use prevention, mental health promotion, workforce development, and community outreach. Whether you’ve supported our mission for years or are joining us for the first time, we invite you to don your mask, enjoy a memorable night, and help make a lasting difference in communities throughout Illinois.
