The Illinois Innocence Project at University of Illinois Springfield is commemorating International Wrongful Conviction Day today.
A display of blue flags represents 584 people exonerated in Illinois. IIP says that number is the highest in the nation.
The display will be on the quad next to the UIS Student Union on this Friday from 9 am to 3 pm.
